The name of the plant......

Jean of Monmouth thinks it is Flowering Nutmeg (its common name) Also known as Himalayan Honeysuckle or Pheasant Berry. That flower was originally planted in pheasant shoots to give the birds cover in the breeding season, because it spread like wildfire.

Yellow Thistles.......and ??

Anyone know what this is???? It self seeded last yr, very pretty flowers, its a shrub type thing and is now about 6ft high, l cut it right back last yr or early this yr. The branches are like bamboo:o))

Jessie the old and almost blind Leopard, we did'nt help with anything here, just watched. He's a beauty:o))



The female Asian Lion, who slurpt as she ate, making so much noise l asked if she had any teeth......l got laughed at!!! lol

The male Asian Lion who was so incharge, typical male!! but look how close l am, he was magnifico!! :o)))) We had total respect for both of them.

Feeding the Pegiuns and being watched by hoards of kids. The Penguins are very quick with those beaks, if you drop the fish you have to pick it up cause they can't ....awww blessem.

Giant Tortoise......who can and will bite, l was keeping my foot away and trying to push the mushroom towards her...lol

2 yr old Crocodiles, how cute and yep they can bite, thats why l', holding it the way l was. This keeper was brilliant, so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Mind you they were all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, but he was passionate!!

Baby Spiney tailed Lizard, the parents were hiding.

This is mother crocodile and another nest of eggs to the right in the shingle. Dad was on the left in the water and 8ft long!!!

My day as a Zoo Keeper.......

All these photo's are back to front but never mind!!
This one is me feeding the Squirrel Monkeys with scrambled egg, they quite liked it:o)


Mum and baby Meercat, how cute:o)
Me just finished feeding the Meercats with live crickets and meal worms:o)) One sitting on my knew...cheeky little thing:o)

How special was this tickling a Rhino:o)) Monty just loved it and we could have kept it going all day:o)

Me mucking out, l though l would have had more to do but it was just the farm animals.

Butterfly from Jean:o)......

This a Painted Lady butterfly, taken from Jeans garden the other day. Is'nt it beautiful:o)) Must keep alook out for them inour garden!!
