Jane this could be a Redwing or a Fieldfare, he has a light chest although you can't see it properly. Click on the photo and have a closer look!!

He keeps very close to Vic, he might miss something interesting being dropped!! lol

This first photo is of the water fountain and pond in Jeans back garden.....her OH has put wire over the top to stop the Herons and ontop of that he has placed bubble wrap to protect the pond and stop it from freezing....clever thinking that man :o))


This one is from the front window and its snowing, or did you stick your head out the front door Jean, looks like you might have!!

Can you see the Pheasant on the gate opposite Jeans house....this was taken a day or 2 before the snow arrived.

Now just look at this scene....there's Ann & T down the bottom of the garden watching a blackbird :o)) great...lol

Just look at these Goldfinches....you are so lucky Ann:o))

l have looked this up on RSPB http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/f/fieldfare/videos.aspx and think it is a Fieldfare,click on the video. There is no sound.

He like his apple:o)

PS.....If you click on these photo's they will enlarge and you can see they are Fieldfare. alaso the last pics is one having a feast:o))

Is this still the Fieldfare or a starling??
